Q & A Email Authentication · August 12, 2026

Can sending too many emails too fast cause deliverability problems?

Yes. Receiving mail servers impose rate limits (throttling). Sending 10,000 emails in 5 minutes from a domain with no sending history will trigger rate limits and increase spam scores. Warm up new domains and IPs gradually: start with hundreds per day, double every few days over 4-6 weeks, only increasing to full volume once positive engagement is established.
