Most endpoints cost 1 credit. A few expensive endpoints cost more because they bundle multiple upstream calls or run a browser:

• 1 credit Domain Lookup, DNS Query, IP Lookup, Ping, Subnet, Reverse DNS, MAC Info, SSL Info, Security Headers, SPF/DMARC/DKIM, Port Scan (single).
• 2 credits DNS Propagation (queries 4 resolvers in parallel), Common-Ports Sweep, SSL Chain validation.
• 5 credits Domain Trust Score (composite of WHOIS + NS + SPF + DMARC + SSL + Blacklist + ~130 DNSBLs) and Domain Snapshot (Playwright browser render).
• AI credits Prism AI responses consume a separate AI-credit pool: each session-step typically costs 1 AI credit; multi-tool orchestrations consume 1 per tool call. AI credits are bundled with each plan at the same monthly count as API credits.

Standard SaaS billing — Stripe-backed, prorated on changes, cancel anytime. No long-term contracts on self-serve tiers.

• Monthly vs annual Annual saves roughly 20%. Annual plans bill once and credits reset monthly within the year.
• Upgrades Instant — new limits apply on the next request. We prorate the price difference for the current billing period.
• Downgrades Take effect at the start of the next billing period. Your existing credit balance is preserved until the renewal date.
• Refunds Pro-rated refund within the first 14 days of a new subscription, no questions asked. Beyond that, refunds at our discretion for genuine product issues.
• Overage We do not charge surprise overage fees. Calls beyond your monthly credit budget are queued and 429-rejected once the daily/per-minute caps are hit.

• Is there really a free tier with no card? Yes. Sign up with an email, get 100 API credits and 100 AI credits per month, free forever. No credit card collected at signup.
• Do unused credits roll over? Credits reset on each billing renewal. They do not roll over — design your monthly cadence around the plan you pick, or upgrade if you regularly run out before month-end.
• Can I use the same API key in production and development? Pro and Business plans include multiple keys precisely for this — issue a separate key per environment, rotate independently, and revoke a single key without affecting the rest.
• Do I need a paid plan to access the AI assistant? No. The Prism AI assistant works on every plan including Free. AI credits scale with the plan, but the feature is identical.
• What if I need higher limits than Business? Talk to us. Custom Enterprise tiers cover dedicated capacity, custom SLAs, on-prem proxy support, MSA paperwork and procurement-friendly invoicing. Contact via the /contact page.
• How do you handle DDoS / abuse? Anonymous traffic is per-IP rate limited at the edge. Authenticated traffic is rate-limited per key and per organization. Repeated abuse triggers automatic key suspension; appeal via support.
